A SMALL TOWN WITH A BIG HEART

According to legend, this charming city was established by the ancient Greek hero Jason. He stole the golden fleece from King Aites, and then at the source of the Ljubljanica River, defeated the monster, which has become the symbol of Ljubljana – the Ljubljana dragon.

The town has maintained traces of all periods of its rich history, from the Roman Emona to the Renaissance and Baroque elements, and all the sad love stories from the Romantic period.
